We don't usually celebrate 'special occasions' because I believe everyday is celebrating life :-)
My coworker is an AMAZING artist. Last weekend, she held an exhibition in Palo Alto. I brought Rodney and Kealan with me. I had a great time enjoying her art pieces. I find her work totally AMAZING....they present the polarity of dark and colorful sides at the same time.... so difficult to capture these contrasting elements....very dialectical!!! The 'day' has finally come -- a day trip to Gilroy Gardens with Kealan's cousins! Due to everyone's 'nearly impossible' schedules, we scheduled for over a month ahead to set the date to take the cousins to Gilroy Gardens. It was the first time for all of us to visit here, so we were pretty excited!
Continued into our celebration, we drove to Cousins Fonda and Lantis home. Here are some pictures we were taking while the cousins were playing around in the neighbor with their costumes on, getting ready for the real fun tonight!
Due to our busy schedules and living distances, we haven't gotten together with Gilbert for a long time. We scheduled tonight's dinner over a month ago, and finally we got to meet up! Kealan enjoyed Gilbert's company, and was making loud laughs to get our attention throughout the dinner - as showed in these pictures :-)
Yesterday night while tugging Kealan to bed, I spoke softly into his ears about our plan for tomorrow (brining him to a fun day out!), while working on getting his commitment to sleep well at night. He nod twice, and thankfully he followed through his 'promise'. I woke up from a really good rested sleep, and was really excited about today's trip.
This was grandpa's first time exposure to the US Halloween festival. Thanks to Shalima's recommendation, we went to Uesugi Farm and had a really great time! Both Kealan and Grandpa Jimmy was stunned to see the huge size of pumpkins!!! Noticed on one of the pix how they pilled up these pumpkins to form a pyramid!
My team and I attended and completed our 10-day intensive DBT training early in Oct. We worked really hard for the past few months in preparing for this training. With lots of homework, and then presentations etc. We did really well and have gotten lots of valuable feedback to help with our program moving forward.
